About Stephen Levine…
Stephen Levine, born in Brooklyn, NY in 1938. Studied trumpet at the Juilliard School of Music. In 1962, on his first tour with the Show "Carnival," he bought a Leica 3C with a 50mm lens and Keneth S. Tydings book "Basic all 35mm Camera Shooting Guide" in Hartford, Connecticut and began taking pictures.
In 1968 he moved to Germany and in 1974 relocated to Trier as solo trumpeter in the "Philharmonisches Orchester."
After 50 years with the Leica he switched to the Canon SLR, and after years of analog B&W photography began working in color with the digital camera. Now he shoots with both analog cameras (B&W) and digital cameras (color). He still develops and prints the B&W film in his darkroom.
